PEAK PASTORS_TOM-2

Tom Pelt | Founder & Trail Guide

Growing up as a “PK” and sensing my call into ministry at an early age, I have always had a passion for the local church, and especially the dedicated Pastors, their families and lead teams they serve with. Out of this passion has grown PEAK PASTORS.

My family is at the heart of what I do. My wife, Elisabeth, is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner currently teaching full-time (online) for the University of Alabama Birmingham while also pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice. Our son, Andrew (and his wife Madalyn!), is Student and Young Adult Pastor at The Church @ Bradenton, here in sunny Florida. And… we are going to be Grandparents in 2020! Woo hoo!

Currently I am serving as Interim Lead Pastor at The Church @ Bradenton. I also have the privilege of serving as a Master Coach for our National Leadership Focus credentialing/ordination initiative. If I’m not working with a leader or team, I’ll be somewhere hiking a trail, blazing a new one, or trying to stay in shape at the gym.

I hope you enjoy exploring this site to discover how I might serve to encourage and equip your life and ministry. I hope to hear from you soon!

Jonathan Absher | Chief Strategist

I love seeing the local church thrive.  I love conversations that not only talk about ideas but lead to implementation.  Because of this, my main responsibilities at PEAK PASTORS is the developing, implementing and sustaining strategic initiatives for the local church.

My history is one of growing up in a pastor’s home, accepting the call to ministry in college and serving the Lord with my life through pastoral ministry.  Throughout this time God has blessed me with an amazing wife, 3 awesome kids and 1 golden retriever (the dog is not always a blessing).

I look forward to the chance to partner with you through PEAK PASTORS!

Andrew Pelt | Emerging Leader Guide

Either Jesus resurrected, or He did not. Either He is God, or He is not. I have staked my life on the fact that He did and He is. Admittedly, I had a bit of a jumpstart to my personal faith as many men in my family are vocational pastors. These realities have not stopped me from wrestling with my personal faith in Jesus, and whether He deserves my life surrendered to His will. Thankfully, He isn’t afraid of me, my questions or doubts.

I’m blessed to be the husband of a beautiful, loving, God-fearing wife, and we are soon to be parents! I love the outdoors, especially the mountains. I have no clue what eternity will be like, but my hope is there are lots of trails involved.

I also deeply enjoy philosophy, theology and minimalism. If you don’t know what minimalism is, I encourage you to start googling. It’s a lifestyle that’s been around a long time. I think Jesus was the ultimate minimalist. He was (and still is) a lean, mean, people loving machine, and He did it all with basically only the clothes on his back. What a man.

I look forward to long conversations with you about differing theories of free will, and helping you downsize your cluttered closet!
